Since we did not want to conform to the conventions of women being seen as sex objects we wanted to try and achieve a more artistic make up style for the dancers. The dancers were to be symbolic of the relationship, rather than sex objects, which is how they are usually portrayed in most music videos.
Our artistic make up is to be heavily inspired by the recently released film 'Black Swan', its extravagant eye make up stands out on the camera and even though it shows the lead character's beauty, it does not emphasize her sexuality instead it provides a fragile mask. For our dancers it would be used to represent the masks that hide the true emotions of the relationship of the man and woman described in the song.
