In choosing our lead singer, we had to think very carefully about our target audience. In order to connect with our audience we had to take in to account a numbver of considerations; the age of our audience, the gender and their social class. Our primary research into the target audience showed that the vast majority of our audiences were between the age of 12 and 25. This meant that we would have to find someone who would appeal to a large audience. We decided to find someone who was around the age of 25, since that represented the largest percentage of people who were interested. Not only that but we had to find someone who was confident with the camera and able to convey the sense of emotion that is implied in the songs lyrics. Also, like in most bands, the front man needs to be either attractive or have a distinctive features that make them stand out above the crowd. In the end we decided on one of my close family friends. Having done Media studies himself, I knew he would understand what he needed to do. It also helped that he had previously worked as model. As a group we felt that he would be appropriate for the part.
